This Is Not Our Mother's Menopause!
Nor is it a medical disease.
In our society, menopause is treated as a disease rather than a normal phase of a woman's life. There seems to be a gap between research and treatment.
This board was created to help women who are looking for more information about natural alternatives to synthetic hormone replacement therapy.
I was at the mercies of the drug industry for 5 years not knowing what was wrong with me. I had a D&C at age 43 and a year later my world turned up side down with migraine headaches, severe depression, weight gain, no libido, hot flashes, nervous leg syndrome, fibromyalgia, heart palpitations & chest pains and the list goes on and on. After doing much research, I found out what the problem was and started using natural progesterone and now I am a changed woman and am striving to help other women who have been in my shoes, so that they don't have to go through what I went through. If you are facing menopausal challenges, whether it be natural or surgical, we welcome you with open arms.
Keep in mind, WE ARE NOT doctors, we are women who are educating ourselves about safe choices on how to treat our bodies during this time of our life.
Women have the right to know about alternatives to synthetic hormones.
As List Owner, I have made women's health issues my passion. I am not a medical professional nor do I claim to be. The information shared on this list comes from a multitude of reliable sources and represents years of extensive research. The sole purpose of the this Board is to disseminate the information I have found. What you choose to do with this information is strictly a personal matter between you and your health care provider..
Note: This is for your information and education only. No medical claims are made on this site. The information and products on this website are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition.

Symptom 1 (flashes) Hot flashes are due to the hypothalamic response to declining ovarian estrogen production. The declining estrogen state induces hypophysiotropic neurons in the arcuate nucleas of the hypothalamus to release gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) in a pulsatile fashion, which in turn stimulates release of luteinizing hormone (LH). Extremely high pulses of LH occur during the period of declining estrogen production. The LH has vasodilatory effects, which leads to flushing.
Symptom 7 (loss of libido) For some women the loss is so great that
