I go for density in my content. Than I begin a routine of RSS, blog posts, bookmarks, articles and blog creation if competition demands it. Video usually helps. The trick is not to rush it and freak out the spiders. I end up working on many projects that are all in different stages of optimization, and I must keep detailed records of each campaign so as not to lose my place. Once I rank Page 1, I back off and occasionally peek to make sure it's holding, if it slips, I do what it takes to climb back up. For lenses and blogs, freshen-ping-repeat. It gives them that April fresh smell.

Decide Who You're NOT: Your Positioning Statement

By Shdenny

"Unless you decide who you are, who you're not, why this difference is important, and why someone should care, everything you do - from advertising to web design to PR to packaging to the next Power Point presentation you deliver to Mega Corp. - will be, at best, ad hoc."

Article Writing To Get Results:

Before you start to think about SEO or adwords or an other form of marketing, you need content.

I most certainly have a blog which I started originally to gain feedback on the photos that I was capturing. After awhile I've tried to convert the blog more into a selling vehicle but its been a long and slow process.

We started one centered on marketing buzz at creativebuzztoday.com that focuses on worthwhile marketing & technologies news. The site started out with business, technology and design, which we've narrowed over time to marketing & technology. As I personally work within the sports industry, there is a definite slant to the field of sport, but marketing buzz and technology buzz are the main focuses.

What IS Marketing?

Define: Marketing

According to Wikipedia, "marketing is a social and managerial function associated with the process of researching, developing, promoting, selling, and distributing a product or service."

Oxford defines it as "an activity or process involving research, promotion, sales, and distribution of a product or service."

My college marketing textbook describes it as "the process of developing, promoting, and distributing products in order to satisfy customers' needs and wants."

So what IS marketing?

Marketing involves a lot more than just advertisements and press releases. It involves creating an entire brand with your product and deciding how the customer will view it, how they will interact with it pre-purchase, how much they will pay, where and how they will get it, and what they will think about it. "Marketing" is in the DNA of your product or service, and not something you add to the mix when it comes to making sales.
