Binky_D,
I don't usually choreograph hip-hop, but I have choreographed a lot of Modern dance, Tap, Jazz, and even a little ballet. My best work happened when I didn't "try" to make up new moves.
I suggest improvising in front of a camera, and watching the video to see what stands out to you. When you improvise, focus on _not_ doing all the same moves you are used to doing, but let the music (or silence!) speak to you and move you. The more you practice improvisation, the better you will get at _not_ doing what your body is used to doing.
Another trick I have used when I am stuck is to take an existing movement, and do it in different levels, sizes, speeds, in canon (ripple, or wave) See how far you can push this... can one person do x movement on the floor, while another does it in the air? Can you do it sideways? Upside down? Backwards? You will be amazed at what you already have available in the movements you have already put in your dance.
The sky is the limit! Good Luck!

Some friends and I have been choreographing a dance to a pop/rnb song 'right round'-flo rida I've even remixed it to another song 'get freaky'
-pitbul, it is really the best dance we've ever choreographed. My partner and I start on a table while my other friend starts on a chair...any ideas for some fairly easy to do but looks cool hip-hop moves?
