Jamie Cullum

British pianist/vocalist Jamie Cullum mixes jazz with melodic pop and rock into a crossover style that calls to mind such artists as Harry Connick Jr. and Norah Jones. In that vein, Cullum will just as often cover a swinging jazz standard as a modern...

Porcupine Tree
-
It is impossible to describe Porcupine Tree, except to say that their music is addictive. They can't really be categorized into a specifc genre. Some call them progressive, and some metal, and others rock. They are a little bit of everything. Each CD...

Opeth
-
Opeth is often described as melodic death metal. Truly, there is nothing else like them. As musicians, they are all spectacular, and the vocals are one of a kind. I have never heard a voice as soft and smooth as Mikael's, yet at the same time, he has...

Guitar is my main passion. My husband and I were equal on guitar plus he played a mean Harmonica, Fiddle and Banjo. I took up Mandolin after a jogging accident on my part (broke my left thumb in three places after tripping on a crack in the sidewalk - yep, stupid but painful) But I could reach around the Mandolin and taught myself how to play.
Sadly I lost him several years ago and lost my passion for a long time because I had no one to play with and most importantly harmonize with. Anywho, now I'm a one woman "band" and our daughter gets me to entertain at get-togethers all by myself and they all think I'm great LOL
If anyone is a Beatles fan out there think of the song Ticket to Ride...and pulling that off as just one person. Just strum with the drums!
Just looking for someone to take a look at my lenses...Thanks
