Let's Celebrate Nature and Our Beautiful Planet Earth
If you love nature and the outdoors, then this is the group for you. Come join us in our celebration of the natural world of our beautiful planet Earth. Lensmasters here strive for balance in our world, whether it be by practicing sustainable and organic gardening, preserving native plants and animals, helping homeless pets, recycling or being green in other ways.
After submitting your lens in the "Want to join this group?", guest book for approval, I will add it to one of the featured lens and lensmaster modules. Naturally Native Squids are encouraged to add their approved lens to the plexo under the appropriate category. This will provide another back link and more exposure for your lenses. Don't forget to vote for your lens.

Members are also encouraged to visit and rate other members lenses. Squidoo is all about cooperation. By leaving a message or favoriting the lens, you give the lenmaster some warm fuzzies while encouraging him/her to reciprocate.
Also, don't forget to publicize your lenses. There are many sites, including: Isle of Squid, Lensroll.com, Digg, Stumbleupon, Twitter, Facebook and Delicious. These sights provide more back links to your lenses that the search engines may pick up. It's all about exposure. The more places your lens link is seen, the more traffic it will get.
You'll also find a new plexo for lenses about the ocean. I have moved any ocean related lenses that were in the Amphibian, Reptiles & Fish plexo to the Ocean plexo.
Want to join this group? Post your lens below.
If the groupmaster likes it, he or she will add it to the featured lenses and lens masters lists below. Please wait for email approval from the groupmaster before adding your lens to a plexo. The "Contact Me" button must be activated.
If you were a member of this group prior to the change over and your lens has been featured, but you do not see your avatar in one of the featured lensmasters modules, please drop us a note here.

Famous fruits imported from the East or South and sold in our markets ... do not concern me so much as many an unnoticed wild berry whose beauty annually lends a new charm to some wild walk or which I have found to be palatable to an outdoor taste. We cultivate imported shrubs in our front yards for the beauty of their berries, while at least equally beautiful berries grow unregarded by us in the surrounding fields.

Animals
We need another and a wiser and perhaps a more mystical concept of animals... In a world older and more complete than ours they move finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings; they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth.
