Hockey's Golden Era: Stars of the Original Six
by Mike Leonetti

Hockey's Golden Era
(Stars of the Original Six)

"When the Brooklyn Americans dropped out of the National Hockey League for the 1942-43 season, it left six teams to compete for the Stanley Cup."
The Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks are the members of that elite group of NHL teams that played from the early 1940s until the league expanded in 1967.
The stars who played during the Original Six era included future Hall of Famers like Howe, Richard, Beliveau, and Hull just to name a few. This book throws the spotlight on these great players and many, many more.

Brodeur is back and even after missing 50 games it looks like he hasn't missed a beat. Ovechkin is leading the goal scoring derby by a wide margin.
Who is surprising you and who's been a major disappointment?

It looks like a lot of groups are dispanding and Hockey World Headquarters is not going down without a fight! We have the top hockey lens at Squidoo, and I think it can be even better. We will not dispand and the only way to stop us from making this The Top Group on Squidoo, is to force it to close.
Personally, I am making more hockey lenses and I encourage YOU to make some more too. Do you have a local hockey team? Why not do a lens about them? What about your Olympic hockey team? And just because you live in the States, doesn't mean you can have a Squidoo lens supporting Team Sweden, Norway or Germany! What about the womens' teams?
Let's get busy -- it's the season of the playoffs!

I'm loving the Bruins so far! They just whupped the Habs 6-1 and they're goalies are the best tagteam in the league. But for the best goalie so far? Gotta be Roberto Luongo. Another 3 game shutout streak and he made it to the third period of the 4th game before allowing a goal.
