I've just created a lens called "Project Charlemagne" - http://www.squidoo.com/project-charlemagne. The project is part of Familypedia, the genealogy wiki, aiming to create a page for every descendant of Charlemagne, the "Father of Europe", starting from his 20 children, of course.

Most of the 3,000-odd people who have pages on it so far were rulers or the powers behind the thrones. The proportion will change over time as the wiki adds more descendants who had no pretensions to being rulers themselves, but at present each listed generation in the first 15 to 20 generations reads like a "Who's Who" of European monarchy and nobility.
