Saving Our Animals!

Build a lens to help save endangered species, support animal rights and contribute to charity!

Saving Our Animals Gets Refreshed!

Jerry, the founder of the Saving Our Animals group has some health issues going on and decided to pass along the group management to someone who had the time for it. So, I'm the new groupmaster, and I wanted to drop you a note to say "Hello!" and let you know what's going on.

I'll be going through all the lenses in the group to make sure they are all on topic and developed to a good standard.

Lenses which very generally about animals but not really about "saving our animals" may be booted or denied. Think more about making lenses on animal rescue, animal rights and welfare, endangered species, pet adoption, charities and organizations that protect endangered animals and habits. Lenses that are purely commercial, which act as landing pages, are poorly-developed (lots of random, default modules), don't contain any original content or which are just blog rants with no links may also be booted/denied. Lenses which are off-topic but donating to animal groups are appreciated in the greater scheme of life, but will NOT be considered to be on-topic for the group.

Thanks for your participation and keep up the good work for the animals,
Euryale

Adopt An Endangered Animal!

2/3 of all sales from this page go to animal charities

Animal adoptions make fantastic gifts for eco-minded friends and kids love them!

When you Adopt an Endangered Animal, you are supporting Animal Conservation and Research around the world. A portion from the sale of each kit goes directly to support endangered animal organizations such as The National Eagle Center, Earth Island Institute, Performing Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), Wolf Education and Research Center (WERC), Caribbean Conservation Corporation (CCC) and many, many more.

Each Endangered Animal Kit includes an Official Adoption Certificate, information about the selected animal, poster, stickers, educational activity booklet and on-line access to quarterly updates on the animal and its sponsoring organization.

Animal Rights and Advocacy

where you can really make a difference

Animal Concerns serves as a clearinghouse for information on the Internet related to animal rights and welfare.

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was founded in 1866 as the first humane organization in the Western Hemisphere. The Society was formed to alleviate the injustices animals faced then, and we continue to battle cruelty today

The Animal Protection Institute advocates for the protection of animals from cruelty and exploitation.

In Defense of Animals - working to protect the rights, welfare, and habitats of animals

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: on factory farms, in laboratories, in the clothing trade, and in the entertainment industry.

The World Wildlife Fund's mission is the conservation of nature.

Hello my dear and thank you for the very kind invitation to add my lens on Lemur -- An Endangered Species. After reading your specs for this group, I'm not sure my other lenses about animals and particularly my work with the feral cat colony and FCNMHP qualify. Do they? ;-) Good luck with your work with this great group.

Wow - much good stuff! Check out Wild Horses of the American Southwest. Seems many people don't realize that their numbers have dwindled drastically in past few decades. Not much space for them anymore.
