Wisdom and understanding are life long pursuits not evidenced by academic records.

School Choice - Which Educational Alternative?

Home school, unschool, experimental colleges, online learning, alternative education - there are a lot of successful options to choose from.

The ending of the industrial age will also spell the end of bureaucratic education. What will replace the huge and entrenched institutions created over the past few centuries?

A reasonable guess would be individual choice combined with cost appropriate education. We are at the start of the educational disintermediation era.

This group emphasizes replacements and alternatives to accepted formal education - sales lists of affiliate colleges will not be accepted. If your lens does not seem to fit with those first featured lenses, it probably won't fit in this group.

The Information Age Requires A Return To Old Principles

Time For Your Opinions

Anyone that really wants to learn enjoys hearing well reasoned thoughts.

Do you have an idea for a lens but don't want to spend and hour or two building it? Put it here.

If you want to start a lens based on what you read - let us know here. Then go up to the top right of this page and click to start it.

Just a comment with your viewpoint is welcome here as well.

If you support public education I would encourage you to both make a lens and start a group. I'll be glad to give it a friendly link from here if you will do the same from there.

Then folks will have both resources to evaluate their options.

Learning concepts and languages are really what kids need to be taught first and foremost. Once they know how to learn by themselves they will pick up the knowledge they are interested in and will need for their future!
