Fetching RSS feed... please stand byJoining this Group: what you need to know and why lenses get rejected
Please read before submitting a request to join
This group is about selling art online and where and how you can make this a success.
Applications to join the group are encouraged.
Why applications to join are rejected
Your request to join the group may be rejected if one of the following is applicable:
1) its scope falls outside the scope of this group (see above). The group is about selling art online in the context of the business side of fine art. It's not about illustration, commercial art, tattoo parlours or crafts per se etc. (You can always start a group for your own area of interest).
2) the lens does not emphasise the provision of good quality information about the fields of interest covered by this group - which is selling fine art online(e.g. the majority of content in an acceptable lens are non-commercial links)
3) the lens is not yet well developed - reapply when it is. This includes lens which contain mainly commercially oriented links AND/OR the lens mainly comprises lists which are the results of google searches or RSS feeds (ie there is very little, if any. original input by the lens owner).
4) the lens focuses mainly on the work of an individual artist or artists. The lens is about the business of selling art online but it is not about promoting individual artists per se.
5) the lens contains no or few references which makes it relevant to the visual arts. A generic topic has to be tailor made to the business of visual fine art to be acceptable.
6 ) You failed to read any of this section. The only people I ever write too are those who missed 'by a bit' as opposed to 'by a mile'.
In addition, if I'm not sure about whether your lens fits with others in the group, I'm likely to look at other lenses you have produced to see what they say about your interests and expertise.
Want to join this group? Post your lens below.
If the groupmaster likes it, he or she will add it to the featured lenses lists above.
