That is so great that you were able to use sign language with your son when he was a baby. It's good to start them with sign language young so they can learn such an amazing language.

My mother use to teach at a college near us (called Madonna University). She use to be really good at ASL until my dads job kinda went south so she got a job at a brokerage firm to bring in more money. We still keep in touch with a lot of the Deaf friends we made along the way though! I think its a language that a lot of people do not understand, and even some recognize... but is very important! Heck... I am looking at the kitchen phone and we still have our TTY! Imagine that...
