Charles T. Eagle, Jr., Ph.D. , is a modern pioneer of Music Medicine, which he describes as "the combination and interaction of the art of medicine with the science of music". Especially since the early 1960's, Dr. Eagle has been involved in the transformational and therapeutic, spiritual and healing function of sound and music. This venture has resulted in an interdisciplinary study of music and sound from a variety of areas, including the "soft" and "hard" sciences, the arts, and the history of both. Dr. Eagle is Professor emeritus of Music Therapy and former University Fellow of Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas U.S.A., where he was the founding Head of the Department of Music Therapy: Medicine and Health in 1975. In addition to his attaining 15 professional degrees and certifications, he also has been a member and served as an elected officer of several organizations, including the National Association for Music Therapy (NAMT) and the International Society for Music in Medicine (currently on the Scientific Committee).

Thanks for adding my lens You Can Tune Up Your Body to the group. I discovered many years ago how well the sound vibrations of tuning forks complimented Reiki and more recently Sacred Geometry. All of those wonderful high vibrations working together!
