It depends who is telling the story: record labels claim that downloads will doom music; others say the Internet will bury the good stuff under a pile of crap; music lovers just want to own good music and do whatever they want with what they own (transfer to CD, carry in cell phone, etc); others say the Internet will give those hidden gems a chance to shine.
