The Squidoo SuperHero Group was created to highlight lenses made as part of the SuperHero Project in which lensmasters are challenged to create 5 lenses for charity about heroes who have inspired you, mentored you, changed the way you see the world, or just made you smile.

All Lensmasters who have created lenses for the SuperHero Project are encouraged to submit their lenses to the SuperHero Group. Please be sure that your "Contact Me" is on, so the Groupmaster can get in touch with you if needed.

The SuperHero Challenge

The Challenge:

Make 5 lenses, in 2 weeks, about 5 of your everyday superheroes.

Deadline: July 1, 2008.

P.S. Make sure you are using the SuperHero Project Template to make your Superhero lens. Only new lenses made under this template will be considered in the SuperHero Group.

Also be sure that you have your "Contact Me" option turned on for the lens so you can be contacted by the Groupmaster if need be.

The Squidoo Superhero Project

The top Squidoo lensmasters and favorite bloggers were asked to join in this challenge for charity.

Here's the challenge:

They can be able people you want to profile and dedicate a page to, as a big loud public THANKS anyone from your mom to Bono or Alice Waters or your Art History professor or Zig Ziglar or David Wright or your little brother.

Meet Your Groupmaster

Did You Know There's a Prize?

Turn your best 5 Superhero lenses in by July 1st 2008 by emailing them to superheroes at squidoo.com.

The 5 most sincere, creative, well-written lenses will be selected by a panel of lensmasters to win $500 each to the charity of your choice.

Winners will also get a spot as Lens of the Day.

Your SuperHero Participation Prize

I decided that there needed to be some way of showcasing the SuperHero lenses, so I created the SuperHero Group.

I also felt that there should be some way to recognize the work done by the SuperHero Lensmasters, so I created the Squidoo SuperHero Group Badge.

Members of the SuperHero Group are encouraged to display the SuperHero Group Badge on their SuperHero site.

The Superhero Lens on Bono

When Bono was mentioned as one of the possible heroes, I had to pull my WIP lens out and create one as a Squidoo Superhero lens.
