Switzerland - All Things Swiss

All things Swiss and lenses that have information about Switzerland. Also welcome are lenses that tell us about Swiss people living abroad, the 'Swiss' ctites and towns in the U.S.A. that carry the same names as their originals in Switzerland.

Switzerland is a small but quite amazing country, where four official(!) languages are spoken: German, French, Italian and Romantsch.

I hope to visit Switzerland in the near future...my mom lived in Bern for a while, my fathers family had a Villa in Lucerne, a cousin lives in Zurich and I have participated in an art show in Geneva...so I would love to visit there.

I'm glad I could join this group!

Last summer I traveled all around Europe, and I was not AT ALL expecting Switzerland to be my favorite of all the countries I saw. It's so gorgeous there, and I was incredibly impressed with the hospitality. We felt very welcome and always had fun things to do, so I want other people to know of some awesome places they can visit while they're there!!

It's an honor to join your group. I've never been to Switzerland, but I love Swiss army knives, Absinthe, Fondue and Swiss cheese!:)
Thanks.

Gruezi. I grew up in Klosters in Graubuenden. Just been back for a visit over Christmas. Put up photos at my blog. Lots of snow and sunshine ... and cheese ... and Kirschstengeli ...

I especially appreciate the fact that from any place in Switzerland it takes a maximum of 20 minutes to be out in great landscapes and nature. We are lucky to have a still relatively intact nature in a few places, even though we could do a lot better, as almost everbody on this planet...
