Tinnitus Causes and Cures

A common clinical condition that affects the inner ear is tinnitus. Some people don't really mind it when they have this condition maybe because the ear ringing don't bother them that much, but others are really bothered to a point that it affects all aspects of their daily life.

Ear ringing is medically termed as tinnitus. Although it isn't a disease, it is normally a symptom of an underlying medical condition. Most tinnitus patients complain of a hissing, buzzing, roaring, or ringing sound and this happens in the absence of an external sound.

Scientists have explained this phenomenon as a reaction of the brain when there are no sound signals sent by the ears and this happens when there is partial or complete hearing loss. In the absence of sound signals from the ears, the brain creates its own sounds which are then heard as tinnitus sounds.
