Squidoo Groups - More Than Just Backlinks
Don't just let a group be a place to register your lens. Groups can really work for you if they are run properly and can really boost traffic for you.
You can start by helping to promote this group. More exposure means more traffic here, and more chances for your lens to be seen. One of the best ways that you can do this is to add the code from the link below into your lenses, highlighting awareness of the group.
Next, the group has an Updates Book, where you can tell visitors about your new Travel related lenses or updates to existing ones. Use this as an additional way to let the world know what you have been doing on Squidoo.
Finally, all lenses on the group are listed by Lensmaster below. This is something you won't find on all groups.
I hope that this group really helps to drive traffic to your lenses.

[in reply to Squidster] Thanks so much for the Angel Dust. I have to give credit to Kim Giancaterino for setting up the group, I took over several months ago, but I have been trying to make it at least a decent group that helps to promote it's lenses, as well of course to get backlinks to the groups. I am also looking to set up a blog for the group as soon as I have time so that members can further promote their lenses. I will announce this as soon as I have something in place.
