All of the lenses in this group support Squidoo Charity Fund or other Squidoo charities.

Lenses that are submitted to this group should be set to donate 100% of their proceeds to a charity either the Squidoo Charity Fund of other designated Squidoo Charities.

More about the Squidoo Virtual Concert Series

News Flash: We've managed to get the deadline extended to August 3, so you have the weekend to get your Virtual Concerts done!

If you are interested in making your own lens take a look at the guidelines and create your own Virtual Concert lens.

Make a Virtual Concert Lens

Making lens to contribution to the Virtual Concert Lens is simple. All it just takes is just a little bit of time. To get started:

1. Pick your favorite band, group or person as the focus of your Virtual Rock Concert or Virtual Concert.

Start by clicking the "Make a Lens" button on this page (or in the right sidebar).

2. Be sure that you select your favorite charity, like the Squidoo Charity Fund, as the beneficiary for the lens Payment Options.

3. Add a Text Module to Plug the Virtual Concert Series. See the next module below.

4. Publish your lens. Please be sure that you submit a quality lens and no "adult" rated lenses. We are trying to generate funds for a good cause.

Virtual Concert Week on Squidoo

Music to Raise Money = A Good Time By All

U2 talks about the One Campaign in every concert they have. Coldplay talks about Oxfam International. A stage with thousands of screaming adoring fans is a good time to promote a good cause.

Remember "We Are the World"? Farm Aid? Band Aid? All hosted to raise money for causes. How? Bands got together to perform, raise awareness and donate money. What a great idea!

Summer is concert season. It seems like all bands go on tour. Nothing like live music on a warm summer night!

What if you could host a benefit concert? You have a cause that's important to you. What better way to have it announced than by your favorite performer in a room full of people who paid big bucks to get there?

This is the point of the Virtual Concert Week on Squidoo.

Who would you pick and what cause would you raise money for? Make a lens and tell us about it!

Introducing the Squidoo Rockstar

The Squidoo Virtual Concert Series has it's own Rock Star Squid or a Squidoo Rockstar designed especially for the project.

Feel free to include the Rock Star Squid or Squidoo Rockstar on your lenses, but please do not use it as the main graphic in the introduction module.

We want to make sure that we have a variety of images used for the Virtual Concerts.

More Squidoo Musicians

Since the Virtual Concert is open to all types of musical genres, I decided we needed a few more Musical Squids to meet the needs of the other types of music.

For Our Traditional Singers and Violinists a Squid Singer and a Squid Violinist:

For Our Country Western Fans a Singing Squid Cowboy and a Squid Fiddler:

Thanks for letting me in! Harry Belafonte really belongs in any group of great entertainers/humanitarians.

Are there going to be more additions. I have another 'oldie' I would love to add.

Is this where I submit a lens or is there an official button? I'm still new to submitting lenses to groups. Here's my take on The Rat Pack Virtual Concert.

I think the Squidoo Virtual Concert Series is brilliant. Thanks for including mine in your group. I have visited all of the featured concerts and lensrolled them from mine so visitors can surf around to see them all. This will provide hours of enjoyment for anyone who drops by.

:D It has been delightful to watch this fund raiser spark so much talent! :D

Kirsti, Thanks for featuring my humble contribution. There are already many great concert lenses I am exploring, and your tireless work will serve many more as inspiration, I am sure. What an outstanding idea and effort to mobilize us once again. Thanks!

Benefiting Squidoo Charity Fund and Two HIV / AIDS Charities

This group benefits the Squidoo Charity Fund (34%), AIDS Research Alliance (33%)and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (33%).

The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation seeks to prevent pediatric HIV infection and to eradicate pediatric AIDS through research, advocacy, and prevention and treatment programs.

AIDS Research Alliance searches for ways to stop new HIV infections and find a cure to AIDS. They are conducting research on a larger, more diverse variety of AIDS treatments than any other community-based organization.

Want to join this group? Post your lens below.

If the groupmaster likes it, he or she will add it to the featured lenses lists above.
