Growing Up Creepie
Middlington Middle School is full of ordinary kids with ordinary problems - and Creepie Creecher. Creepie looks a little differently, thinks a little differently and walks a little differently. All of which would still be perfectly normal except for one thing.
Creepie was raised by bugs. Yes, bugs.
Creepie's family includes her praying mantis mother, mosquito father and brothers of the gnat and pillbug persuasions. It's the kind of thing that makes being a goth pre-teen just that much tougher.
Growing Up Creepie started out on the Discovery Channel and includes brief clips at the end of each episode where Creepie talks about a bug from the episode. You can see Creepie these days on Nickelodeon.
Meet Creepie Creecher
Creepie CreecherCreepie is a preteen at Middleton Middle School with a cynical and sarcastic personality. Except for her friend Budge, she doesn't tell anyone that she was raised by bugs in order to protect herself and her family. Creepie was abandoned on Caroleena and Vincent's door step as a baby, and nobody knows what happened to Creepie's real parents. Creepie's real name is Creepella, but everyone except her teacher Dr. Pappas and Vincent calls her Creepie. She and her (very large) bug family live in Dweezwold Mansion, which most people think has been abandoned. (voiced by Athena Karkanis)

Meet Creepie's Family

Caroleena (Praying Mantis)
Caroleena is Creepie's adoptive mother. She is very strict and constantly threatens to eat her children if they don't listen to her. It was her maternal instinct that persuaded her husband to adopt Creepie. (voiced by Julie Lemieux)

Vincent (Mosquito)
Creepie's adoptive father is a New Age vegan with a sinister vampiric appearance. Like his wife, he is loving to his adopted daughter. (voiced by Dwayne Hill)

Gnat (Gnat - duh!)
Creepie's little brother constantly sneaks into Creepie's backpack and causes havoc at school. He seems particularly attracted to the flypaper in the gym. Gnat is actually older than Creepie since he and Pauly were the ones that persuaded the family to adopt Creepie. (voiced by Stevie Vallance)

Pauly (Pillbug)
Creepie's older brother is a wise-cracking jokester. He's always hungry and loves to eat. (voiced by David Berni)
Meet Creepie's Friends
Budge BentleyCreepie's best friend. He's the only one who knows Creepie's secret. While Budge might look like a bully because of his height and size in reality he's a sweet guy who wouldn't hurt a fly. He's just friends with Creepie and Chris-Alice. Budge is very smart like his dad and Budge loves Yoga. He also loves science, bugs, and etymology. Budge's real name is Beauregard Bently the II, but everyone calls him Budge. (voiced by Richard Yearwood)
Chris-Alice HollyrullerCreepie's relentlessly happy friend and neighbor is on the cheerleading squad, takes karate, and is always signing Creepie up for stuff at school without asking her first. She loves Sweetie McSwiss Candy and all girly things. Chris-Alice is bossy and perky. Her name is a pun on the word Chrysalis, a form of inmature insect. When it comes to Creepie, Chris-Alice won't take "No" for an answer. She dresses preppy. Chris-Alice is class president, editor of the yearbook, and captain of all three sports teams at school. Even though Chris-Alice thinks that Creepie is weird she went out of her way to befriend Creepie on her first day of school. (voiced by Leah Cudmore)

MP3 of the Growing Up Creepie Theme Song
Fairy tale, without the fairy
A family that seems a little scary
A world with perfect people.
No, you won't find me
Anywhere but here
The way you see me
Is pretty far from clear
A little different, not everyday
You can't judge me, it don't work that way
So what, so what, if I'm growing up creepie?
Wicked.
