It all starts with the Dad, Jason Seaver. Jason is a psychiatrist, who has a home office that is constantly being interrupted by the kids.

The Mom, Maggie, is a TV Reporter, who decides to go back to work after the children are older. She struggles with work and home.

Then there is Mike. He is the oldest and a wise-cracker. He is always playing one over on his parents and teasing his younger sister, Carol.

Carol is the "brain" of the family. She always does what is right.

Ben is the "baby". He goes along with Mike and gangs up on Carol.
