Needle Felting is Fun!

Hi everyone,
This is Ainsley from Grumble Toy. I just recently started needle felting and I have been having a blast making little creatures out of wool.
Needle felting is a technique where you poke raw wool until it forms a firm and dense shape. It is a somewhat fool proof technique with limitless possibilities. All you need is a felting needle, some wool, patience, and a creative idea!

How to get started

There are several great books on the market about needle felting. This is a really great place to start. These books include cute pictures and step by step instructions for many different characters.

Once you have the technique mastered you can start to make characters from your own imagination.
Have fun experimenting with different colours and don't be afraid to mess up.

Mistakes are easily remedied. If your character is too bulky you can easily cut off excess wool and poke the remainder back into place.

If your character is too skinny you can easily add more wool and needle felt it onto the body.

    Needle felting animals do weird things to me. I feel like I need them all. That I should aquire them and ahhh over them and put them in a special place. Good tutorial.
