I've used my GT Express 101 only about 10 times. I love it. Problem - some teflon has come off the top lid. Is it still safe to use???

    Kathy,
I love my GTXpress that I bought several years ago when it first came out. Now you have all these inserts for the new Xpress. Will you eventually have a belgium waffle insert?? I would love to upgrade my present Xpress so I could get all the additional inserts but I am still waiting for the belgium waffle insert.
    Thank you,
    Evelyn

I would say 2 yrs is good for any cooking machine. I have the new redi set go and love it! I plan to buy another when this one stops working. I have had mine for about a month or two and have used it about 4x-9x a week. I love stuffed chicken breasts and steak roll ups. Also my son loves me using the meatball divider and making little scrambled eggs with ham and cheese inside.

This is the "pie" batter for pizza burger pie:

    Quick and Possible Pies
    ?Pie? Batter
    1 cup milk
    1 egg
    1/2 cup baking mix
Mix all ingredients together in a covered shaker. Extra can be stored
in the refrigerator for a day or two.

    Hope that helps.

I am getting mixed reviews about this product. Teflon coming off after a short time and problems in customer service. I was very excited to order one and then saw the exhorbitant shipping and handling charges. But it looks great.

    Comments??????

I loved it but the teflon came off so I threw it away. I ordered the Ready set go 101 and am hoping I don't have the same problem with this one.

Love the GT express 101. I use it to make great omlettes. With just one egg you get a great omelette so its great for portion control. I make cakes and deserts. Everything cooks quickly and it is way easier than using an oven. I do recomend this product for people who like cooking healthy and best of all quickly and easily.

    and Pat,

I had the same problem with the teflon coming off (the top in my case). I had only had the GT Xpress grill 2 months. I called the same number as when I ordered it and explained that the teflon was coming off after only 2 months of use. They replaced it. I am very happy with my GT Xpress 101. We use it all the time and experiment with our own recipes.

I have a question. On page 33 of the 101 cookbook it has a recipe for Pie batter. In it is has 1/2 cup of baking mix. What is baking mix? I am a cook, but this is not very informative as to what kind of baking mix she is talking about.

    Help!

A friend recommended GT Express after she bought it. Best little cooker and easiest clean up. Bought it mainly for my kids for quick after school snacks and weekend breakfast/lunches. My 11-year old son loves it because he can use it himself and he loves to cook! Easiest egg omelets and anything in a soft flour tortilla! Love it!
