Introduction To Guerrilla Marketing

 

If you are the owner of a small business and you have big dreams but a small budget, then Guerrilla Marketing is just what you are looking for.

That simple phrase convinced me to start investigating just what Guerrilla Marketing had to offer and I was so convinced by what I discovered, I became a Certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach.

Jay Conrad Levinson, Father of Guerrilla Marketing 

Guerrilla Marketing was created in the early/mid eighties by Jay Conrad Levinson, a former leading advertising executive turned University lecturer / author.

Since then the Guerrilla Marketing brand has sold over 15 million books throughout the world and is the best selling small business marketing series.

What Is Guerrilla Marketing? 

Let me just set you straight. Marketing is not a minor activity on the periphery of your success as an entrepreneur or owner of a small business.

Marketing is everything you do from the moment you come up with the idea of your business to when you create delighted customers who buy from you regularly.

Everything you do has a marketing impact in that it affects the way people see your business, sometimes in a good way but sometimes with a negative effect.

The critical difference with Guerrilla Marketing is that everything you do is intentional.

What Makes Guerrilla Marketing The Small Business Marketing Solution 

Guerrilla Marketing takes a fundamentally different approach to traditional marketing.

This is extensively covered in the Guerrilla Marketing resources but the main differences are:

Instead of basing your marketing approach on spending a large budget using conventional advertising media, Guerrilla Marketing replaces cash with time, energy and imagination.

It is designed for small businesses and uses a wide range of Guerrilla Marketing weapons, many of which are free.

Guerrilla Marketing focuses on profit while traditional marketing judges its impact on less direct measures like brand awareness, brand preference and market share.

Guerrilla Marketing recognises that success is achieved through strong relationships both with customers and where appropriate with suppliers, competitors and alliance partners.

Guerrilla Marketing - Not Guerilla Marketing, Guerila Marketing or even Gorilla Marketing 

Most of us don't have to spell guerrilla very often but it has two Rs and two Ls. It has taken my fingers a long time to learn to type it automatically.

Beware of imitators who use the alternative spellings of Guerilla Marketing and even Gorilla Marketing.

If you want the genuine Jay Conrad Levinson created ideas for small business marketing, make sure you only deal with GueRRiLLa Marketing.
