Guinea Pigs: Just the Basics
Guinea pigs are a docile rodent that was brought to Europe by European explorers that came to Peru and brought back the local pet and food source the Guinea Pig. Guinea Pigs make excellent pets for children, rarely if ever does a guinea pig bite. They will simply test you to see if you are food, when they realize you are not edible they generally move on to something more tantalizing than a finger. They are after all herbavores.
