I am left handed, and found that playing a normal right handed guitar wouldn't allow me to reach my maximum potential.

Ive only owned one Guitar So I'm not sure how different guitars can be, but I am playing a fender, that plays perfectly left-handed.



1. Of course you will need to remove the strings.

2. You will need to remove the nut, which is the part that the strings go through after the fret board, before the tuners. Mine was barely attached with glue I just took a screwdriver and knocked it off.

Please be careful, if something doesn't feel right don't do it, consult a professional if need be.

3. Now use some super glue, but not too much! Glue the nut the opposite way. Also, they make custom nuts and you can get one easily online if thats the way you want to go.

4. Now you want to flip the bridge around. This is the piece at the bottom of the guitar that the strings go over before the pegs. This was easy for me since the strings are the only thing that hold the bridge down. I don't know if this is different in some guitars so if it is glued down i would get a pro to remove it. I imagine there are also custom bridges as well, but this is a little more complicated since the wood piece that holds the bridge and the pegs would need to be custom as well.

5. Now put the strings back on and vuala, you now have a left-handed guitar.
