Choosing The Right Pick
Do you know that there are many factors that influence and define the sound of a guitarist. We have factors like the effects processor, strings used, amplifiers, and maybe some individual anatomic differences. But, one of the most important components and often overlooked is your Guitar Pick.
Choosing the right pick for you is one of the most funny things you can do when you are willing to experiment with your sound. The thickness, size and material it's made from and maybe also the way you hold it all have a dramatic effect on your overall sound.
The thicker the pick, the more volume and to a point the better the tone. I have found the light flimsy picks simply don't sound very good but as I said before, you must try different guitar picks to find out which one fits the sound you like. Much of the dynamics that can be coaxed out of a guitar are just much easier with a thicker pick - at least of medium thickness. Too thick is not so good either - some can make you feel you're playing with a cough drop!

Best Guitar Techniques
Techniques to control guitar
Your first guitar should really be acoustic, instead of electric, to avoid having to amplify the sound of your beginner guitar skills. A regular acoustic usually has steel strings that don't callous your hands as easily, and a narrower neck easier on the fingers. An acoustic guitar is non-electric and just relies on sound from the strings resonating in the body of the guitar. A non-classical acoustic will have nylon or steel strings. Learning the basics of acoustic guitar can also be an engaging process provided you take lessons from the right institution or person.
Although vocals are important in the blues, the music depends upon the guitar to deliver the uniquely American sound. Sound frequencies of the string, like string bending, affect the sound of blues guitar too. A country/folk/blues guitar uses steel strings for increased volume, and has a narrow neck, to make playing chords easier. Normally, beginner guitar lessons cover blues and rock principles, and sometimes those of rock and country music too.
Classical guitar technique is much more based on individual notes, melodies and counter-melodies, and rhythms as opposed to chords. Once a guitarist has mastered control on a regular guitar, they usually buy a classical one so their sound is clearer and more contemporary. In a classical guitar lesson you learn the classical style using an acoustic guitar with nylon strings usually. A classical guitar has a wide neck, to help play individual notes.
It is upon hearing the Flamenco guitar for the first time that you notice that its sound is more metallic and bright in nature as opposed to the softer, mellower sound of the classical guitar. The notes don't sustain as long on the Flamenco guitar as they do on the Classical guitar. Cedar as traditionally used on the Spanish Classical guitar by its very nature imparts a mellower softer sound.
The Basic Assembly process
Building a guitar
* The second step entails individually making the five major parts of the guitar. They are the neck/head, left side, right side, Soundboard, and backboard. Note that the neck/head assembly can be done in one piece or as two pieces assembled together.
* The third step is where you would assemble and glue the five major pieces of the guitar together.
* The Final Step is the finishing of the guitar. This includes inserting the frets on the neck, the purfling around the edges, and the sanding and varnishing of the guitar.
A Bad Habit To Break When Playing Your Guitar
Bad habits to control guitar
When it comes to guitar playing, some bad habits are harder to break than others are. If it is something simple like strumming the guitar strings the wrong way, this can be adjusted or unlearned without too much difficulty. Conversely, holding the neck of the guitar wrong can be very difficult to overcome and prevent you from ever being able to jam on your guitar the way that many rockstars play. Adjusting the strap to hold your guitar at the proper level may be very important in some cases but if you are really jamming out on your guitar, you may not even use a strap and just hold your guitar in your hands without any additional support. Problems like this will not present any major issues for most people in regards to their guitar playing but some bad habits are very difficult to overcome and create longer lasting side effects. It is actually possible to tune a guitar incorrectly and have it sound okay for most uses. However, if you do not learn to tune your guitar, you will be in big trouble the first time you try rocking out with other guitar players or the next garage band. Many small things can go wrong when you are learning to play the guitar.
One of your best bets is to get a good guitar guide online so that you learn right the first time. Learning to play the guitar is a great goal but learning to do it right really does require you to find and use a good guitar guide.
