Music Costumes for the Rocker, Guitar Player
I'm married to a Luthier, someone who designs and builds guitars. When we first met, he was building dulcimers and balalaikas. He spends a lot of time in the shop. Consider finding costumes that reflect the work and hobbies of your family members.
Will you trick or treat as a guitar builder in your luthier shop garb? Better sprinkle some sawdust around to make it authentic. Maybe you can find a fabulous cello coat like the one Oscar Wilde had? It can be for your band or a funny costume idea.
Since we are also Cat People, we really get a kick out of Jackson Galaxy, aka Cat Daddy from Animal Planet's My Cat from Hell. He sports a great look that could be a cool kitty-approved DIY costume. He's a rocker and a cat behaviorist , carrying the items used in his personal Cat Mojo arsenal in his guitar case!
My husband has also built various structures for our cats. We have a swanky cat stair with drawers in it that's made of exotic woods that was made for our geriatric cat. Very nice.
We have a Zazzle Shop, and some of our items have the Luthier and cat themes. We walk the walk, so we talk the talk, on t-shirts, mugs, iPad cases, etc.! :-)

I like the pockets in these aprons. Just got one for my husband. He's always rearranging his shop. One thing I know is luthiers' tools create the need for more luthiers' tools! He even builds his own tools to get those guitars built or repaired or finished just the way they want them. Amazing.
