Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock retains the same gameplay as the other games in the series. The player uses a special guitar-shaped controller to simulate the playing of rock music by playing in-time to scrolling notes on-screen. Guitar Hero III includes a new cooperative career mode and "Boss Battles" against both in-game characters and other players; the game is also the first in the series to allow for online play. Frets on Fire is a Finnish music video game created by Unreal Voodoo in which players use the keyboard to play along with scrolling on-screen musical notes to complete a song, and is a clone of the Guitar Hero video game series.The gameplay of Frets on Fire is similar to Guitar Hero - the player emulates playing a guitar. Frets on Fire is meant to be played by picking up the keyboard like a guitar, with one hand pressing the fret buttons and another pressing the pick button.

I had to vote for Guitar Hero 3 over rock band I'm afraid, because it is the BEST GAME EVER! Some cool stuff you have here about the game, and some great links thanks!
If you wanna pimp out your plain white guitar hero guitar, check out my blog about the Faceplates are better, especially the thin aluminum ones, but some of the strong vinyl skins like the wraptorskin ones are cool too! Either way its better than having a plain white one!
