Welcome to Guitar Learning Software
First, let me tell you a little about me. I've been playing guitar for almost 20 years now, and it's a hobby I've never fallen out with. There's nothing more satisfying than picking up your guitar and banging out a Foo Fighters song or just relaxing with some laid back country blues. I sometimes jam with a friend or two but most of the time I like to play for me, it's a very personal thing for me I guess.
Unfortunately, I can't sing, or should I say, have never learned to sing. Which is a bummer, because a lot of people say I'm very good at guitar. But listening to me is like listening to someone shaking a sack of frogs (Maybe instead of guitar learning software I need singing software!). Seriously, it's true.
Anyhow, that's enough about yours truly. What's this lens about? It's here to tell you a little about a new piece of guitar learning software I found, that is taking the guitar learning software market literally by storm. And yes, I am one of the people helping that company spread the word. But then, it's not expensive, you don't have to carry on reading, and you certainly don't HAVE to buy anything on this page, it's purely for information.
And I was once what you are now, a newbie. I only wish that software like this had been created 20 years ago! I would have saved about 18 years of self tuition!
But I'll let you in on a little secret before you even begin reading the main part of this lens: this particular guitar learning software is the most in-depth, most feature-packed, easy-to-use, video-rich software on the market, but it's also the best value for money! Plus it's chock-full with free stuff! If you want to learn guitar efficiently and quickly, and start seeing results in as little as 1 hour after download, then this is the kit for you. Read on and discover more about it.
Dave
P.S. This kit was built by people working with pro guitar players, with the newbie OR pro in mind. You can't go wrong. I've been playing for 20 years, and this software is actually IMPROVING my technique!
Guitar Learning Software from the Pros
Jamorama
The Jamorama guitar programs come in two flavours - Acoustic or Electric, and both are equally beneficial to beginners or intermediate players. Some of the players who worked on Jamorama have been playing longer than me, and I feel like I've played forever! I definitely feel old enough! So in the next module, I will talk you through what you can expect from the software. I have taught a lot of people how to play guitar as a favour, mainly friends and friends of friends etc. But I wish I could have saved them the time I took to teach them, by showing them this program.
My friend Dirk (from the pub) has actually helped me to get the information I want to give you about the program together, by doing a mini interview (or minterview) with me. So here we go.....
Jamorama Guitar Learning Software
Daves "Minterview"
Dave: 20 years, man and boy. I always wanted to say "man and boy". Don't know why.
Dirk: Ha. So, what kinds of things do you like to play?
Dave: Well, I enjoy anything technical, any kind of fingerstyle, or anything that needs to be worked out, you know? I just finished learning the Jose Gonzales cover of Heartbeats, which is one of my favourite fingerstyle songs.
Dirk: Quite a complex piece....
Dave: At first I thought it was quite daunting yes. But once I had worked out the basics (after several hours of stopping and starting my DVD recording of it), I finally understood what he was doing. The man is a master.
Dirk: So, what I really want to ask you about is this new guitar learning software that you have started going on about. What is it exactly?
Dave: Jamorama is a suite of guitar learning software tools, put together by fantastic musicians. It's designed to teach beginners and intermediate players to either play guitar from scratch, or to improve existing technique.
Dirk: So? Why is it different from any other software?
Dave: Well, with Jamorama you get a simply awesome set of features.
Dirk: Like?
Dave: Ok, you get 12 months of study material in the pack, 140+ videos, in-depth technique lessons, 30 Jamtracks that you can apply your lessons to, games to help you develop fretboard skills, tablature reading lessons and a hell of a lot more.
Dirk: Ok, sounds interesting. But how can it benefit me? Seriously, why would I invest in this and not something else?
Dave: A great question and one I can answer in 5 words.
Dirk: Go on then smart ass.
Dave: Learning to play by playing.
Dirk: Huh?
Dave: Yeah. That's what most people say. But it's pretty logical. When I talk to people who want to play guitar, the impression I get is that they feel a little intimidated and overwhelmed by the amount of information they feel they must assimilate. And it's understandable. I remember looking at a piece of music by one of the masters, Joe Satriani, namely, the Satch Boogie. The first thing I thought was "mngg!". The notes looked like a black blur across the page. And they still do to an extent! But the guys at Jamorama get you playing from the beginning. Songs that is, not boring scales and musical theory. It's an exciting and interesting piece of guitar learning software, written on the understanding that playing should be fun and most importantly, NOW! After all, who wants to wait?
Dirk: So now you can play the Satch Boogie because of Jamorama?
Dave: No. I want to reiterate that Jamorama will not turn you into Joe Satriani (straight away). But it will set you well on the way.
Dirk: But I want to be a pro!
Dave: Great! Then this is the place to start! And I love the attitude!
Dirk: So how will Jamorama get me on the way to stardom?
Dave: (laughs) - Well, it teaches you how to play by letting you play. At your own pace. When you view a video for example, you can see via split screen, what is happening with BOTH hands while a piece is being played. This is very important and teaches you musical coordination. You also learn how to read tablature.
Dirk: Tablature?
Dave: Or 'tab' for short. It's like reading music by numbers. Each one of your fingers is given a number, and then each of the strings and frets are also given numbers. You then interpret the numbers to the positions of the notes on your guitar and you can follow it that way more quickly than having to wait until you learn music.
Dirk: So like painting by numbers but for guitars?
Dave: Exactly. Wish I'd thought of that explanation!
Dirk: So what else do I get?
Dave: Well, you get full support from the guys at Jamorama. They are a friendly and very patient, understanding group of people. You also get some freebies!
Dirk: Oooh! Everyone loves freebies! What are they? What are they?
Dave: (laughs) You get a metronome for one thing, which teaches you how to count along with a piece of music. You also get free tuning software, which is fantastic. It shows you how to tune, and will help you decide if your guitar is actually in tune. You also get a game called GuitEarIt.
Dirk: Guit....
Dave: EarIt. Yes You heard me correctly.
Dirk: What's that then Dave?
Dave: It's a great piece of software that teaches you how to play guitar by ear. For example you may be listing to the radio one day and you hear a song and you think "Man, I wish I could play even a little bit of that". Well, GuitEarIt will teach you how.
Dirk: Cool! And that comes free?
Dave: Absolutely.
Dirk: Anything else?
Dave: Of course. Jayde Musica Pro.
Dirk: The whaty what 'n' what?
Dave: Jayde Musica Pro. It's another guitar program (a game), that teaches you how to understand and read music, memorise the stave and so on. So you get guitar learning software INSIDE your guitar learning software! It even comes with a high score function so you can challenge yourself or even your friends!
Dirk: It all sounds great. What's your favourite feature?
Dave: It's hard to choose. But I would go for the fact that you get 450+ sound files and a massive sackfull of videos. it really is an amazing deal. And you also get free 30-day access to SongPond.
Dirk: Are we going to talk about frogs again now?
Dave: (laughs) - No, SongPond allows you to easily learn songs by top artists like Led Zeppelin, Jonny Cash, Jack Johnson, Eric Clapton and many more. It really is fantastic.
Dirk: So, I guess that takes care of everything I want to know. Apart from one obvious thing, Cue the scary orchestra music......
Dun dun dunnnnnnnn! How much does it cost?
Dave: (laughs) - I like the scary music, pretty good! Ok, the price is currently amazing. Let's take a better look at what it's worth.
Jamorama Value: $99.95
Actual Price: $49.95

Dirk: Ooookaaaay. I might be interested. What more do I get?
Dave: (laughs)You still want more?
Dirk: Of course.
Dave: How does a 60 day 100% money back guarantee sound, if you aren't completely satisfied with it?
Dirk: Sounds good, but now you sound like a salesman Dave.
Dave: (gasps) Hey, I may be selling it, but have I sold it to you?
Dirk: Yeah OK, the price had me to begin with. But the 60 day thing has me convinced.
Dave: Great stuff Dirk. But you won't need the 60-day guarantee.
Dirk: Fantastic. I'm off to get access now! But before I go, any last pieces of advice for new beginners?
Dave: Yes. Never, ever give up on this amazing hobby. Pick up your guitar once a day and in 6 months you will be playing song after song. Especially with a program like this. Also, it's a hell of a lot cheaper and more convenient, relaxed and fun than a conventional teacher. Give it a try, you've nothing to lose!
Dirk: Cheers Dave!
Dave: No worries. Have fun!

- Thanks for looking ChapelHillFiddler! Liking that painting of "Electricity" from Mark Chandler by the way. Very odd, but still likeable. Sorry, not much of an art critic lol!
