The core of their program are their guitar lesson dvds. The expanded version includes 20 dvds, each with 2 lessons per disc. Unlike private lessons you take each week from an instructor the lessons (also called sessions on the DVDs) are more then one weeks worth of content.

The accompanying lesson book that comes with Learn and Master guitar provides a suggested time frame for you to take to learn a particular skill. The Lesson book is divided up by session. Play along with a Full Band

Practising is one of the most boring parts of learning guitar. All the practise books are the same, boring nursery rhyme songs that you play over and over. Learn and Master guitar has made things a little different. They've included jam along tracks that you can practice with.

Each CD contains several jam tracks that correspond to a particular session from the DVD's and lesson book. There is a reference track in the left channel of the song. You can ensure you're playing correctly by listening into that reference track. As you improve you can fade the song to the left speaker only and jam out all on your own. This adds a new dimension of practising and helps teach you to play along with other instruments. Something most guitar lessons cannot do.

Get Help When You Need It

One downside to learning guitar from dvd has always been the lack of an actual instructor to ask questions to. Sure you could learn on your own time, but if you got stuck what did you do? Learn and Master has fixed this situation by providing an online support community.

In the online community you can post questions to the instructor from the videos, ask questions to other students or just chat about your progress with others. It adds a new dimension to learning at home that hasn't been available with other guitar lesson video approaches.
