For Beginner Guitar Players - Daily Exercises - This Alone Make You A Better Player.
It is so much thing to learn, and depend on how much desire you have and the commitment you will dedicate to your learning.
The best way to learn any things is to learn it from the 1st step and move on to the next one when you believe you understand thoroughly the previous lesson.
How do you know when you ready to move to next lesson?
When you play your lesson and you make almost no mistake or just a few mistake then you are ready for the next lesson.
Again it all depend on your desire, someone expectation maybe more or less than your.
Take it easy, make it fun but not to wasting time and energy going nowhere.

Remember you have to learn how to Craw before you learn how to Walk and then you can lean how to Run.
.
Our Index finger is the most dominant finger, than the next less dominant one is the Middle finger, then the one less dominant than the Middle finger is the Ring finger, than the least dominant one is the Pinky.
Beginner players have issues with their fretboard fingers hand. They are UN-coordinate, they are out of alinements and they do not respond to your command, they are weak. Like a drunk person walking.
We use exercise to train them to respond to our command, to play cleaner, to play smoother, to play faster, then to play with passion as we mastering the technique.
.
We category our lessons into Three Levels: Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Beginner level players :
Learn all Basic and popular scales, modes, arpeggios and chord types. --- Using Alternate Single Picking technique in 12 keys.
Always using the Metronome while practice your lessons. An expect to reach up to 60 beats per minute with out errors, or the least errors.
If you making so many errors during your lessons drill, you are going TOO FAST - SET Metronome to slower tempo. You are advise to play in scale steps sequence order as ascending or descending.
Intermediate Level players:
Players at this level are expect to be able to perform all the features for Beginner and including Double picking technique.
Also try to experience how to play lick or a short solo by play a few random notes from each pattern as you joining them to cover the entire fretboard ( the 5 patterns). Hint, close your eyes and just improvising, force your ear to listening to the sounds as you play, apply sustain on some note, then experience on some notes using hammer on, pull off....Bend an half step higher.... the more experiencing you try the faster and better your lick or solo will get. Also learn some Foreign and Exotic scales.
---
Advance Level players:
At this levels, player are expect to master the Beginner and Intermediate Levels.
Spend more time in to improvising, this is how you can create your own tunes or songs.
Remember playing fast doe not mean cool, matter of fact many player fool others by playing really fast and have no feeling or skills but just using the so called " fastness" to cover up errors and most of these player are boring, actually all they do is make noise, and no skills or passion whatsoever.
In other hands slow player are the good one, they able to control and have tastes, feeling and improvising.
Best players are the players who can play fast and slow with passions and feels.
I have passion for classical guitar and I prefer Acoustic guitar over electric. Don't get me wrong. I love electric too.

What kind of exercises are important that I should do as far as physical training of my fingers for both of my hands
Daily Exercise 1-2-3-4
I teach my players 3 difference exercises and advise them to exercise at least 15 minutes or more on the daily basis.
Someday you do not feel like to practice your lessons, that is o.k. BUT. You should try to do your daily exercises at least.
I start on 5th fret. "You can start on any fret as you like, and I prefer 5th fret. as higher frets the fret are narrow than lower fret.
Lower fret are wider so it is hard to manage your fingers to correct positions.
I use Alternate picking. Because it is the fastest picking style as you move natural up than down on your rhythm hand. You spend less energy and time and effort to play the note compare with all other picking techniques.
1. Index - Middle - Ring - Pinky ( 1 -2 -3 -4 backward 4-3-2-1 )
I put my Index finger on 6th string 5th fret, I play a Down stroke.
Keep my index pressing down, I play the next not on 6th string 6th fret using my Middle finger with an Up stroke.
Keeping both "Index & Middle finger pressing down" I play the note on the string 7th fret using my Ring finger with a Down stroke.
Keeping "Index & Middle & Ring fingers pressing down" I play the note on 6th string 8th fret using my Pinky finger with an Upstroke.
... I just finish my run in "Ascending order" --- I am now going Down in "De sending order" from Pinky to Ring to Middle and finally the Index
using the same procedure "Alternate picking".
The only difference now is. "as I am starting to go down, I still have all 4 fingers pressing down, One by one I release my Pinky - Ring -Middle as I strike the note.
Start with my pinky with a Down stroke, I play the note on 6th string 8th fret.
Immediately I release the Pinky and ready to strike the next note on 6th string 7th frets using my Ring finger with an Up stroke.
Immediately I release my Ring finger and ready to strike the next note on 6th string 6th fret using my Middle finger with a Down stroke.
Immediately I release my Middle finger and ready to strike the next note on 6th string 5th fret using my Index finger with an Up stroke.
I Just Finished my 6th string run using exercise 1-2-3-4 On The 6th string.
Now I do the same procedure for 5th string at 5th frets
The I continue the same procedure for 4th the 3rd then 2nd then 1st string.
When I played the last note on the 1st string at 8th fret.
I just finish my entire exercise (1-2-3-4) Run for ONE way ( As ceding - I am going up)
Now I start my De sending run from the 1st string 8th fret using my Index with an Up stroke until I reach the last note on 6th string 5th fret.
I do this exercise for more than 10 years now, I did it about every other days of the week and I using the other 2 exercise which I will talk about next.
The above exercise is demonstrate single string technique. I will talk about Double string technique next.

Guitar Scales, Modes, Arpeggios, Chords - So many things to learn and I am confuse - I am about to give up.
Like learning anything else, learn to play the guitar requires your commitment with times, money for buying tools such as videos, books, sheet music to learn, your dedication and your focus and attention. And the main key is to do it re-repeatedly ( Daily practice) as you eat or sleep or schools. You did this on a daily basis aren't you?
To learn Basic Music Theory is the 1st step and the foundation and beginning spot as far as I am concern.
I believe it will not take more than a few months to lean how to read basic music notations.
I am not recommend reading tabs, thought I do teaches how to read tabs. You know how people are when it come to criticism.
Rule #1:
Music have only Seven basic Tones or Notes and we use notes symbol to represent them on the music staffs( standard 5 lines and 4 spaces) lines and spaces including ledger lines and its spaces.
Beside the seven basic tones or notes, there are Five Accidentals notes or tones as:
C# / Db
D# / Eb
F# / Gb
G# / Ab
A# / Bb
There they are the 5 (pairs) of Accidentals notes or tones. These accidentals also called "En-Harmonic"
Enharmonic means: They sound the same but they written difference.
For complete details on En-Harmonic please join our community for FREE and have access to all lessons.

All 7 Basic Notes or Tones. -------------- The C Major scale ---- C D E F G A B C

Basically, Arpeggios is played by using certain steps of the scale, " the Odd scale steps."

..I ...... .. II........... III........ IV........ V........ VI...... VII.......VIII
C...........D...........E..........F.........G........ A .......B.........C
Root........................................................................ Root ------------------- Root/Tonic to Root/Tonic note is ONE OCTAVE.
The C major Arpeggios steps: Using the 1st - 3rd - 5th - 7th and additional "8th" for the root and to have fuller sound.
Here it is.........C E G B C
I advise to use same fingering just as if you play the scale.

Daily Exercise 1-2.....2&3.....3&4...Turn Around.....4&3.....3&2.....2&1
I recommend 5 times and more. Beginner! Try to play " ascending-descending " 5 times before your take a few second to rest. The get right back to it as your fingers, muscle and hands are all warm and moving smoothly. If you feel hurt-ed. Stop IMMEDIATELY and rest.
I prefer my exercise starting on 5th fret. It just me. You can start at any fret as you like as long as each finger land on each fret. Stress your fingers out if you have to. Keep on practice eventually it will be second nature to you.
