Welcome to Guitar Practice Software Reviews!
Hello, and thanks for stopping by. It's me, Dave again, with some reviews for all you guitar beginners out there, who want to know about the best guitar practice software on the internet.
Before you read on, consider checking out my website: Acoustic Guitar for Beginners.
As I've said in my previous lenses, before you go buying anything at all, you should review everything carefully before you make a move. For example, on google you can type "Guitar Practice Software Reviews" or words to that effect. But you can read up on that in my other lenses.
So, you can use this lens to find out about good, solid learning software for guitar. Here, I hope to be able to help you make an informed decision about what you will be investing in. I will give each piece of software a mark, or grade if you will, out of 10, covering 5 aspects, each of which will score 0 to 2 points. The 5 aspects are:
Amount of videos
How many videos the software has packaged with it.
Ease of Installation
How easy is it to install this software?
Ease of Use
How easy is it to navigate around the software?
Ease of Understanding
How easy does the software make it for me to learn?
Value for money
The big one - is it worth the investment?
Again, I would like to reiterate that I am NOT a guru, or an authority or expert. The views here are merely those collected from online polls and opinions. This is merely a collection of reviews, based on information gathered from the masses. It's just here to help you find it all in one place.
Once again, if you have questions about practice software, or anything to do with guitars then please leave a message in my guest book.

Guitar Practice Software - Review 1
Guitar Coach Deluxe by Charanga

Very Easy
Score: 2
Ease of Use:
Very Easy
Score: 2
Ease of Understanding:
Not for beginners
Score: 0
Value for Money - Average of £37
Score: 1
Note: I rated this software a 1 on value for money, because it's not so good for beginners to be spending this amount of money on a piece of software really intended for more advanced learners.
Overall score: 6/10
The verdict.
This software offers a very clean and easy to use interface, and is great for more advanced players. It has some videos but unfortunately it has no real way to jam along with anything, like backing tracks. But, another plus point is how easy this software installs. If you have a newer PC, it's finished installing in about 4 minutes, which to me, is pretty fast. One thing that lets this software down a lot though, is that you have to switch CD-Roms (there are 6 of them) to switch your area of focus. It's pretty decent value for money, but only if you are a learner seeking to advance your techniques. I wouldn't recommend this software for beginners.
Guitar Practice Software - Review 2
Guitar Method from eMedia

Ease of Installation

Score: 2
Ease of Use
Nice layout, pretty easy to navigate
Score: 1.8
Ease of Understanding
The features packed into this software are really good and it's pretty easy to develop a method, could do with more video instruction though
Score: 1.6
Value for Money - average cost: £46.00
Built for beginners AND advanced players
Score: 1.9
Overall Score: 8.6/10
The Verdict
This software is very good. Although it seems a little expensive for the amount of video instruction you get. However this is made up for a little, by a strong feature set, like riff builders and recording options. And the additional lessons you get are pretty comprehensive, although I prefer video lessons so that you can SEE whats happening.

The verdict
This software is great for anyone. It has a great feature set including jam tracks for improving your licks, thousands of chords built into an easy-to-use library, as well as recording software built in. It will also teach you thousands of arpeggios, chords and scales.
You can find out more about this software here: Guitar Power. You can download a demo version first to try it out free for 30 days. Definitely worth looking at.

The verdict
The best guitar practice tool around! This software is totally tailored for the beginner. It's feature set is fantastic, and the amount of videos is nothing short of legendary. You get a free metronome for helping you learn to count and over 150 lessons. It also has an ear-training game that is very, very clever. It also comes with some cool bonuses like Guitar Tuner Pro - a piece of software completely dedicated to tuning the guitar! You also receive Jayde Musica Pro, which actually teaches you, using games, to read music from the stave! The bonuses alone are probably worth the same amount as Jamorama acoustic, so this is well worth the investment. The great thing about this software is that you start using what you are learning as you are learning it, Which to my mind, is the best way to learn.
Yes, you guessed correctly, this one is my favourite so far. You can read more about it here:
.
So, thats it for now, I will be back soon with some more reviews of other great software. Remember though, always do your homework before you buy! And if you need advice, just ask! Leave a message in my gust book and I will do what I can for you!
Take it easy.

- Thanks for visiting my Cheap Video Game Deals (Updated Daily) lens.
I have a question for this lens. Why does the dollar value change from foreign dollars to American dollars on the last review? Nicely done on the rest.
