Sequence Patterns
A popular guitar scale pattern is to play the notes of a scale in groups of four. For example starting on the root note play the first four notes in the scale. Then do the same thing but this time start on the second note of the scale. Repeat the sequence up the scale each time starting it on the next scale tone.
You can do the same thing back down the scale.
Now that you know what a sequence pattern is you can make different guitar scale exercises using your own creative sequence patterns.

- Hi John, I like your guitar scales lens. I participated in your polls (I know more than 7 lead scales and like the harmonic minor scale best). I like you plexo and I am a big Gilmour fan. Nice tips and a good amount of written text. ~Music Resource~
