  • Guitar Hero III xbox 360 is the first game to feature animated scenes on the Career Mode.
  • In-game characters - Slash (Guns N' Roses), Bret Michaels (Poison), and Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine)
  • Online Mutliplayer and Battle Mode (See below)
  • Two players using the same console can participate in Co-op Career Mode, which is arranged similarly to the single player Career mode, with one player on lead guitar and the other on bass.

Is a competitive mode between two players either locally or over network play. The mode is slightly different than the face off mode of Guitar Hero 2.
