Good reasons why Gunsmoke tv show is still popular!

I still have a great love for the old westerns. Gunsmoke is one of my favorites! Gunsmoke is an American radio and television Western theater series; it was created by director Norman MacDonnell and by writer John Meston. The setting for the stories takes place in and around Dodge City, Kansas, all through the settlement of the old American West. The radio version ran from 1952 to 1961; the television version ran from 1955 to 1975 and is the longest-running prime time drama series in U.S. television history.

I include many links and resources which the reader of this lens should find useful! Enjoy and visit often!

Chester is my favorite character because he's a obscure. A lot of people don't know there was a Chester. When I imitated Chester's stiff-legged limp, my mom yelled at me "Don't make fun of the lame." A lot of people wore Forrest Gump leg irons in those days. After Chester, Burt Reynolds played a hot-tempered American Indian blacksmith. Kitty could calm him down though.
