Guster is your buddy.
This lens is an introduction to the band; their music, their personality, and their long tradition of loyal fan culture. Enjoy!
Guster is like Pooh Bear
But wearing jammies and singing about love.
Okay, so they're not always being cuddly-- sometimes they play with so much passion and aggression, your pants fall off. And you don't even notice til the end of their set, you've been standing in your undies singing "Fa Fa" with abandon. That's because Guster takes their music seriously-- but that's the only thing they take seriously. Themselves, their fans, their popularity, their stage presence, and everything else they do falls into the category of "stuff to be enjoyed and laughed at."
They're blogged because they're loved

REVERB: The Environmental Cause
Adam's gift to the world.
This is Adam. Adam sings and plays for Guster, but he's on a mission. It's not a solo thing, though. Adam got a lot of people to join him and make a difference.
These are some of Adam's helpers. They're on a mission, too. Adam has about 1,400 groups of non-profit helpers. They wouldn't all fit in the frame, though.
The mission they're all on is called REVERB. It's a nonprofit organization that Adam started with his wife Laura.
They both love the world, especially with that nice green color it has. They don't want the green to turn all brown (or blue), so they decided to use music as a platform for a mission: to save the green stuff.
What REVERB does is huge. It's a foundation that educates touring musicians on how to make their tours environmentally friendly. They've reached (and greened) 50 tours and 4.6 MILLION fans.
Current tours that support REVERB:
Dave Matthews Band | Summer Tour
Jack Johnson | World Tour
John Mayer | Summer Tour
Panic at the Disco | Spring Tour 2008
Jason Mraz | Spring Tour 2008

It's like trying to play favorites with your own children-- it's easiest to pick the best looking one, he'll probably end up being the most popular anyways.

The Blog
a musician-friendly dose of independence
These are recent entries from a blog I write about musicians finding their independence from major labels and old business models. The blog and its adjoining website are called Without a Label.
