- I think it really depends on who the guy is and the context in which it is worn. I.e. Johnny Depp in Pirates manages to pull it off brilliantly - it's just part of his look. On the other hand, Adam Whatshisface from American Idol just looks incredibly silly, like he's trying too hard.

- This one is really easy, the answer is without a doubt, no question about it, absolutely for sure, positively, 100% of the time GUYS should NOT wear makeup for eyeliner. It is just flat wrong!.

- ... Why? It may not look good or make sense, but it isn't WRONG. In many ancient cultures, men wore more makeup more often than the women. They would wear it to war or to signify status. What's "wrong" about that? Are warriors not manly enough for ya?
That's like saying that men wearing skirts is wrong - but tell that to a person wearing a ceremonial kilt.

- i love duran duran, so i think eyeliners in guys are cool especially if they are entertainers. for the guy walking on the street, i don't think it's appropriate.

- Being a teen in London in the 70's and 80's guys in makeup were pretty much the norm in my crowd (mainly Kohl). I think guys (most anyway) look great wearing eye-liner and lets not forget the nail varnish!

- I think guyliner is a stereotype that I can't get over - at least not now. I used to have the same problem with guys who had piercings. I got over it. Who knows maybe I'll get over this...

- Most people know that guys in show business have make up applied to their faces to help their features stand out. That may be the norm now for certain mens magazines. I don't know as I don't check them out any longer.
I think it's plain stupid for men to wear 'guyliner'.

- Guyliner = Yes. I wear it, I'm not gay, and I feel that any man who feels that they can pull it off should! I can't tell you how many compliments I've got about my eyes when I wear it. The word "delicious" comes up frequently... alittle strange, yes, but I'll take it!

- I attended the American Idol concert this week and David Cook was REALLY sporting the guyliner!! It was so bad that it was actually running down his face slightly. I still didn't like the way he looked with it, but he rocked the house down. He was awesome and so was my favorite idol, David Archuleta. (David A. of course was guyliner-free, thank goodness!)

- Good debate. Not a fan of guyliner; actually not that big of a fan of eyeliner used in great quantities on anyone in general. I laugh because some people think it shows confidence to wear it while I think it takes confidence not to wear it. Why hide?

- Not a huge fan of 'guyliner', I do however feel that it suits some people quite strongly. As for Jared Leto though..what's that man done to his hair at current?! I saw him on the cover of a magazine the other day and it looks dreadful. Excellent lens there anyway, a definite 5 stars from me.
