GW Exotic Animal Park

Ranked #16,956 in Pets & Animals, #477,551 overall

America's Largest Educational Zoological Park

G.W. Exotic Animal Park is owned and operated by the G.W. Exotic Animal Foundation. Our park is the largest non-profit exotic animal zoo in the United States, and we currently care for over one hundred and twenty different species of animals. We are also the largest "Big Cat" refuge, with our staff providing shelter, food, and medical care to over one hundred and eighty big cat species.

The park is open throughout the year with the exception of some holidays. We offer educational tours as well as other activities for park visitors, including feeding and petting select species.

Our park relies on the generosity of local area businesses as well as the income generated from admission tickets to run and operate. We hope to see you and your guests soon for a unique and once in a lifetime adventure.

The History of GW Exotic Animal Park

The G.W. Exotic Animal Park was formally established as a non-profit organization by Mr. Francis and Mrs. Shirley Schreibvogel in 1997. It was created in honor of their son, G.W., who lost his life to a car accident. The Schreibvogel family decided to give life to their son's childhood dream of exploring the jungle by creating an animal park that would provide shelter and care for exotic animal species from around the world.

What started out as a child's dream has now flourished into one of the largest parks in the United States, as well as the world. GW Exotic Animal Park now has over one hundred and twenty eight species of animals, including a large variety of big cats. In total the park has over one thousand animals, of which one hundred and eighty consist of big cat species.

The non- profit park continues its mission of care and advocacy for exotic animals, and has since made local and regional news stories, provided education programs to youth, had visitors from every state as well as two hundred countries, and continue to grow in size.
