The Gypsy Gyrls Burlesque
Meet Connecticut's First All Female Neo-Burlesque Troupe!
WHAT IS NEO-BURLESQUE:
A revival/updating of the traditional burlesque performance. The Neo-Burlesque revival brings burlesque into the 21st century. Though based on the traditional Burlesque art, the new form encompasses a wider range of performance styles; Neo-burlesque acts can be anything from classic striptease to modern dance to theatrical mini-dramas to comedic mayhem. As with the earlier burlesque, neo-burlesque is more focused on the "tease" in "striptease" rather than the "strip." Audiences for neo-burlesque shows tend to be mixed; men, women, straight, gay, and everything in between.
Cabaret: a form of entertainment featuring comedy, song, dance, and theatre, distinguished mainly by the performance venue - with a stage for performances and the audience sitting around the tables (often dining or drinking) watching the performance
Vaudeville: a kind of variety show consisting of mixed specialty acts, including songs, dances, comic skits, and acrobatic performances.

Nu Magazine says...
"The Gypsy Gyrls Burlesque show was - teasing yet tasteful and always extremely creative...I was downright surprised at how talented these girls actually are, belting out notes that would shame most pop princesses, and a cast of characters better than any on the current seasoned of Saturday Night Live..." - NU MAGAZINE, JAN. 2008 ARTICLE
