Membership is tax deductible as an Association Dues expense. The SBN has not yet acquired non-profit status and does not give tax advice. In general when a business pays for an association membership that will promote their business, they are allowed to deduct the expense.
Consult your tax advisor before you assume that you are eligible for this deduction.

A Member Page includes two modules. An introduction module and a text/write type module. The introduction module is often included in news flashes or featured on the Home Page or other promotional.
Members are responsible for the content that is in the modules. Text / Write type modules may be edited by the member who created them as many times as they would like. This is a great way to update seasonal information or to add, edit, or remove hyperlink details. Introduction modules are always accessible in edit, but we ask as a courtesy that any editing needs to this part of the Member Page is preceded with a note to the administrator. Primarily because that is the part of the page that is included in other site sections and changes may change the layouts of the promotional presentations.
The modules do have graphic capabilities (linking from your hosted images), and will allow simple HTML. The editor is capable of creating tables and basic functions such as centering text and images without html. The html source editor that is used in the modules is Tiny_MCE so advanced users will have a lot of options when creating content. - PHASE OUT The SBN is no longer accepting memberships. Join or create groups, and much more.

To name a few: Hosting - Quick to Build websites - Optional software , that is free but not as easy to use for beginners - however worth learning for optimization of the site - Domain registrations and security certificates - and with every Hosting Service purchase there are numerous FREE add on options available. - The New Marketing Members Network is a free networking community that is open to members and non-members of the Small Business Network. Feel free to self promote, share your websites, promotions, and mingle with other business people.

A Large company may offer an affiliate program which will increase annual contributions based on performance. This is an acceptable way to help the SBN with expenses and the Branding is good for our search results as well.
We are not soliciting large business, and have even turned down many inquiries because the nature of the company did not 'fit' well with the community.
