Tri-Cities Washington Habitat For Humanity
What is Tri-Cities Wa Habitat For Humanity

Tri-Cities Wa Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical housing ministry. HFH International seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
From The Tri-Cities HFH Website:
Habitat works in partnership with low-income working families, sponsors and communities to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit, financed with affordable, no-interest loans. The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments are used to build still more Habitat homes.
Since Habitat for Humanity Tri-Cities' inception in 1994, HFH has built 37 homes throughout the Tri-Cities. Their goal is to build 12 homes a year - starting a home month - and sustaining that level of construction indefinitely.

An excellent cause that I strongly believe in. Any one of us at any given moment because of our financial circumstances can become homeless. I know because I came very close to being there several times.

I am so glad that this exists! So many families need help. I do not like anybody to suffer. All we have to do as humans is find the compassion in our hearts that is there. 5*

I have a client who lives in a Habitat House. She is a middle aged woman, living with her daughter and baby AND raising another daughter's three kids. Life isn't east, but she loves her house and is so proud that she actually helped build it! She will point to the places where she hammered nails!
Great organization. I think it is the housing version of Heifer, both of them get the people involved to help themselves, without expecting anyone to do it alone. That is the way to go!
