Hack A PSP | A Guide To Playing Classic Games On Your PSP

If you are anything like me, you'll want to play back all the classic games such as Contra, Battletoads, Pokemon, Super Mario Bros, ESWAT: City Under Siege and lot more.

If you would like to refresh your memory of the old gaming days, you can visit GameSpot and find top games from all the classic game systems.

Just recently I browse through GameSpot list of games and found Street Fighter 2 Classic. I remembered back in the old days where I used to play the game till the final stage fighting against M.Bison and kept losing. That made me angry and threw the cartridge away. It was frustrating, but hey I was 5 years old and very emotionally into game.

A New Beginning...

But luckily, now in the technological era, we have something called 'ROMs' replacing the cartridge. An easy explanation of 'ROMs' is a copy of the chip found in games that are made into files and read by computers. How they do it? Ask the geeks.

As you might have already know, there a tons of 'ROMs' you can find on the internet just by searching it on Google. But you have to be careful of which website you download from. You don't want to get trouble with illegal and copyright issues.

In order to play these classic games, you'll need what is called "Emulator" to run. Each of the game console has their own individual emulator. With an emulator, you can not only play classic game systems, but also homebrew games made by individual who knows how to create their own games. That's what I want to learn in the future and hopefully make a video or guide for it.

You're probably wondering where can you find all these old games right? Aren't they obsolete? Of course not. With the power of modern technology, almost anything you can find on the internet.
