Haier L32D1120 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV

I jumped on this one just because of the low price and my tight budget. I was a bit uncertain and worried (despite the Amazon return policy and all the years of good experiences shopping with Amazon)

Anyway, Right out of the box, one plug for power, one HDMI cable to my DirecTV DVR - stick the 2 batteries into the remote - and turned in on without any problem.

Everything is just fine - the picture, the sound, the case, the appearance and even the remote (not great, but better than most cheap end electronics I've purchased).

My only 'complaints' come from my personally preferring the old non-digital format, the old squarer non-widescreen format .... But this TV seems to have absolutely nothing negative I can say about it.

I would 'rave' or give a better description about the quality of the picture, but to me (I'm not that picky) it looks great - but then again I don't understand or know what the differences are in HDTV's ... and unless there were two different sets side by side playing the same station, would I even have anything to compare.

But if you are looking for a really nice 32" HDTV for a really low price, I highly recommend this set. It arrived in 2 days and although it's only been on for a few hours, it is Amazon and can easily be returned if a problem shows up. Otherwise it's a keeper for my non-techo-sophistication.

SOUND - It's really OK ... I thought it would be not loud enough at max, but at 50-60, it's plenty loud (and I am used to keeping my TV on loud all the time).

But if you are a person really into the dpi, and the 1080 vs 720 .... I can't say this is either a good or bad tv.

For a layperson who wonders why I need HDTV to watch I Love Lucy ... This is a bargain.
