'My experience of hair dye colors with a new mobile hairdresser.'

'She took a pampering experience of having my hair colored to an all time low.

I'm a 35 year old woman and I've had severely pain full M.E for nearly 11 years.

As I am bed bound and housebound I have always had my hair done at home that until recently was a way to a pain escape route. It is painful for me to sit for a length of time and it takes me a while to get over it for me, but it's worth it.

Before I had my hair colored I felt safe with my natural color a dark mousy shade, but I felt so down and depressed. Five years ago, on the recommendation of a friend, I booked a haircut and coloring session, that would change my life, personality and confidence forever. I looked in the mirror and saw myself a drab dark brown, with a drawn face

With an excellent mobile hairdresser, I sat down for my hair pampering session, unsure what to expect. I described what I wanted, showed some pictures, explained that I wanted thicker sections of color and then left it to her. As I didn't get the chance to watch the session proress, I only saw the final result. It was like looking at a different person. It changed my face, my thoughts and my confidence In an instant. I felt amazing and "Normal".

It did more than cheer me up, It gave me more confidence than I have ever had In my life. It changed me as a person and also helped me to look at life in a brighter and far more positive way.

My hair color went from a dark mousy color to bleach and champagne blonde. I felt a million dollars.

Unfortunately due to illness and lack of strength I often left my hair coloring appointment to the last minute, which normally isn't a problem but unfortunately, I recently needed my hairdresser who normally can fit me in with a few days notice, but she was away on holiday. I needed it done for my Birthday so I didn't have long to find myself a replacement. After some frantic phone calls I located a mobile hairdressers number, from a friend who had seen a poster in the local village shop window. I was so pleased and rang the number spoke to the woman, made an appointment to find out more about her and also to explain what hair colors I wanted. I spent a long time on the web looking for the shades of blonde I wanted.
