Hairstyles to love

What are your favorite looks?

There is probably a big gap between the hairstyles that I really like and the hairstyles/haircuts that I will actually get. I love seeing celebrities with these cute short modern bob hairstyles, or the long layered wavy/curly hairstyles with hair extensions. But when it comes to reality and my hairstyle, these two choices don't really come into play.

So, what I do is try to incorporate what I love about the short and long hairstyle into my medium length hairstyle. I love the look of long side swept bangs on the short bob and the long layers of the long hairstyle. My hair style has both of these. This is a great way to get a hair style that you are comfortable with and works for you.

I know that if I had super long hair or hair extensions - I would be complaining all the time about how long it takes to style and take care of every day. And if I had a super short bob, I would complain about how I had to style my hair every day or it just wouldn't look right. So I am in the middle with a shoulder length hairstyle with long side swept bangs and long layers - just perfect! To change things up a bit every now and then, I add highlights and lowlights.

Finding a hair style that works for your face shape

Don't just get a hair style, get a great hair style

Before you seriously consider cutting your hair just like one of your favorite celebrities, you will need to start with your own face shape. Just because you find a celebrity hair style that you like does not mean that it will look good on you.

You should put your clothes selection and hair style selection into the same category. They need to be tailored to your look and your likes. Just like someone with a thick waistline should not wear the same clothes as someone with a small waistline, a hair style needs to be designed to best suit your facial features and even your body type.

Many celebrity hair styles today have certain features to them, such as long layers or bangs that can be incorporated into your hair style. So, don't throw away those celebrity hair style photos because you don't have the same face shape as the celebrity.

To determine your face shape, pull all of your hair back into a ponytail or clip. Stand in front of a mirror and trace the outline of your face onto the mirror using something removable (i.e. a bar of soap, washable marker, etc.). Next, stand back and look at the shape that you drew. Does it look more oval, round, square, heart shaped or oblong? It could be the combination of any of these shapes.

There are 5 basic face shapes: oval, round, square, heart and oblong. Most of us have combinations of these face shapes.

I have a question to ask hopefully you can help?
Anyone have any feedback either by use on which of these products or brands are best for sensitive hair? ... its so hard to find info!

Looking for shampoo, hair colour all those types of things!
