Animes on Halloween Night

So you're searching for animes in Halloween theme ? Though horror and fantasy animes rarely have Halloween plot in it, there are plenty of horror, mystery and thriller animes that are suitable for watching during Halloween eve. Some even have European coverage of the Halloween season. So chances are there that you'll find some animes with trick-o-treat plot in it. If not, these spooky cartoons have enough scary stuff in it to entertain you on this day of hollows.

I'm doing my best to make this compilation family friendly. So if any extreme gore horror or thriller anime missed out in this list then it is either because of content or maybe i left it. Feel free to let me know your favorite anime for Halloween.

Gakkou No Kaidan is unique horror anime that tells you new ghost story with every episode. It is the story about group of kids slaying ghosts from old highschool building. It doesn't have halloween plot in it but some of the stories in it definitely worth to watch.

Kaidan Restaurant

Thriller Restaurant

Like gakkou no kaidan, thriller restaurant also has unique stories. It shows three unique stories in one episode. One story revolves around three main characters in the anime. Rest of the two stories are like filler which they call - starters and dessert, shown at the start and the end of the episode.

Perfect family friendly anime for Halloween night.

Pet Shop of Horrors

There are some gory parts in it but if kids are already watching anime then some of the scenes may not even affect them. It is fairly balanced anime when it comes to horror and fantasy part. There are total four stories in this anime and all are worthy of Halloween eve anime run.

Requiem from the Darkness

If you want some sick scary stories then requiem from the darkness is the one to watch. There is a lot of gory and horror content in it. I don't think it's family friendly in any way. But considering the Halloween anime run on this special night. It deserves to be in this list.

Soul Eater

Soul eater is fantasy horror anime. Group of students studying in hollow slayer academy called 'death weapon mesiter academy' are slaying the evil humans. Soul eater isn't much gory and you can consider it for the evening run on halloween night.

There are some other animes which are worth to list here but being too many episodes for the Halloween night - may not be worth unless you really want to see all the episodes.

There are many other animes which you can watch but considering the limited time on Halloween night, it's better to go for animes which have single story per episode or single episode original video animation. (OVA)
