Love or Hate Bats?

Love them. Had them in the dome of a building where I worked. Bats would occasionally interrupt proceedings...Also I have a bat house to keep the mosquito population down.

I don't mind them and I would add this to the awesome part. But when a friend of our was showing us his new house and we were in the basement, a bat came flying around. He quickly ran up the stair and shut the door on us. The bat touched down briefly on my head before we were able to get out.

Another myth is that a bat is a flying rat. Not true. Just look at this picture and you can see he looks nothing like a rat.
And look at his eyes. Since we now know that bats have excellent sight and are not blind we will now be complimented when someone says we are "blind as a bat".
