Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with three espresso beans.
(Thanks Kahlua!)

You'll Need Some Food, Too...
Halloween Cocktail Garnish Ideas
- Place your Halloween Punch in a black cauldron for serving. Then, make a spooky face and hands to float in the cauldron! Make these by freezing ice in the mold of a mask (cover the eye and mouth hole with aluminum before adding water) and gloves (freeze the water inside the gloves).
- Place a candy eyeball in a martini glass
- Make a radish eyeball garnish. Check it out here: www.celebrations.com/content/radish-eyeball-garnishes
- Make your cocktail glasses "blood rimmed", as shown here: http://www.hostessblog.com/2008/10/halloween-martini-vampire-style/
- Another creepy eyeball garnish - this one made with lychee. See the directions here: http://www.hostessblog.com/2009/10/halloween-cocktail-pina-ghoulada-with-creepy-speared-eyeball-garnish/
- Plastic Spider Rings - one per glass
- Candy corn at the bottom of a martini glass makes any drink look festive.
- Tie off a knot on one end of a long, black licorice whip and serve it as the swizzle stick.
- An oldie but goodie - freeze plastic bugs in your ice cubes!
- Use a melon baller with a green or light colored melonto make another kind of creepy eyeball.
- Specialty edible Halloween candy of all sorts - like vampire fangs, severed fingers...

Halloween Cocktail Brain Hemorrhage
Ingredients (x1):
1 oz. peach or strawberry schnapps
1 tsp. Bailey's Irish Cream
Splash of grenadine
Instructions: 1. Pour the schnapps into a shot glass.
2. Slowly pour Bailey's over. Don't mix!
3. The Bailey's will begin to clump and "curdle" and look like a brain. Pour a tiny amount of grenadine "blood" over.
The trick to making the perfect Brain Hemorrhage shot is to use very cold alcohol. Don't have it cold? Slowly pour the Bailey's over an ice-cold spoon to get the same effect. Due to the "texture" of the drink, it's best downed all in one shot!
Spooky Drink Mixers
As with the alcohol/liqueur list, the below mixers are Halloween-friendly based on their spooky colors.
- Blood Orange Juice (red/orange)
- Cranberry Juice (red)
- Sour Mix (bright green)
- Strawberry Daiquiri or Margarita Mix (bright red)
- Orange Juice (ummm...orange?)
- Cola (black)
- Strawberry Puree (thick and red)
- Grenadine (bright red)
- Raspberry Puree (thick and blood red)
- Blackberry Puree (thick and black-red)
People Are Talking About Halloween Cocktails!
Dra-Kahlua
This black drink garnished with a blood orange is just the thing for all you vamps. .Ingredients (1x)
1-1/2 part Kahlúa
1/2 part cognac
1/2 part triple sec
3/4 part fresh lemon juice
1/2 part simple syrup
Blood orange wedge for garnish*

Strain into a chilled, half sugar-rimmed martini glass and garnish with a blood orange wedge, or use a black licorice whip (tied in a knot at one end) as a swizzle stick.
(Thanks Kahlua!)
MORE Halloween Cocktail Garnishes
- Use blood orange as a substitute for other fruit garnishes
- Make your drinks look other-worldly by using glow sticks as swizzle sticks. (Make sure the package indicates that the sticks are "non-toxic".)
- Use grenadine or red sugar syrup to drizzle "blood" around the rim of any glass. (Let it drip down the sides of the glass for best effect.)
- Use dried fruits as great "organs" - dried strawberries become frog hearts and dried apples become goblins' tongues. Place them on toothpicks or drink skewers.
- Use gummy candy "bugs" - like worms, spiders, etc...
Pina Ghoulada
Ingredients:20 oz pineapple juice
1 can cream of coconut - (15 oz)
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup orange juice
10 oz rum (optional)
Preparation:
Whisk together pineapple juice, cream of coconut, heavy cream, orange juice and rum. Place 2 1/2 cups ice in a blender, then and add 1 cup drink mixture. Blend until smooth, and pour into prepared glasses. (If mixture is too thick, add more pineapple juice before serving.) Repeat process with remaining ice and mixture.
(OR - Make it Quick: Just use frozen or pre-mixed pina colada mix for the drink.)
Then, garnish with "blood rimmed" glasses and lychee "eyeballs". (See Garnish list for more informtion)

- Love the cocktail recipes. I mentioned and linked your Cryptini on my "Mummy's The Word" party lens. I was wondering what the grownups would drink at a mummy themed party. Now I need to find a suitable drink for the kiddies.
