Pumpkins have long tradition. People have used pumpkins for food and also for decoration for holidays. They carved pumpkins, cut it out to make holes and put candles inside to look scarier at night. Pumpkin, carved into jack-o-lantern is the most recognizable symbol of Halloween.

Today we can find a lot of artificial carved pumpkins in supermarkets, but it is much nicer to make our own carved pumpkin. All we need is a pumpkin and carving tools, cutting saw,
poker tool, grease pencils, gutting spoons and of course carving patterns.

There are a lot of different carving patterens. We can buy them or download them or we can make our own pumpkin patterns. Just let your creativity flow and make your own scary or
cute pumpkin paterns.

Bats are flying mammals, active mostly at night. During the day they sleep in dark hidden places. Some of them eat insects and some of them eat fruit.

They make different sounds to communicate with each other.

Bats have been associated with witchcraft, black magic and darkness.

Since they are night animals, we do not get to see them a lot. And if we don't know
something, we are usually afraid of it. And the same goes for the bats.

Most of them are not scary at all. They are very useful because they can eat up a lot of insects.

Witches are imaginary creatures and supposedly they have supernatural powers such as shape-shifting, clairvoyance, invisibility, flying, the ability to kill at a distance and astral projection.

They are practicing witchcraft and have powers of healing and spell-casting. They are powerful and feared.

Some witches have six fingers and moles on their body.

Witches are able to use their powers for good and for bad. With their magical powers they can even create a storm.

They can remove curses or spells from a person or put spells on those who did not please them.

Because people were afraid of their magical powers, in 14th century authority and church ordered to hunt, prosecute and execute them.

After few centuries witch-hunts ended in the 18th century.

Vampires are mythological, supernatural creatures. They are sucking blood from other living beings, usually humans, with their fungs. They don't like garlic, sunlight and crosses. Since they avoid sunlight, they are very pale. During the day they sleep in coffins.

They were not very known before 18th century. Today we can watch movies, tv series, cartoons and read a lot of books about vampires.

Haunting houses are houses where we can hear noises, lights are turning on and off, things are disappearing, doors are opening and closing, we can see ghost shadows, we can hear crying or whispering...

It is believed that in haunted houses there are different ghosts of children, mysterious women, animals...
