Note: All of these ideas are best implemented before the Halloween cross stitch is put in the frame. Though if you have glass on it you can probably do most of the ideas without fear of damaging the cross stitch
A Few Ways To Decorate Your Halloween Cross Stitch Frame
Buttons, Wood Cutouts and Ceramics Most hobby shops and craft stores have a large variety of seasonal items. The options are pretty much endless. You can get plain ones that you paint or ready to go goodies that all you need to do is glue on. A few ideas might be Candy corn, pumpkins, stars witches hats, bats, ghosts, black cats.
Stencils Instead of glueing on objects simply stencil on little stars or ghosts or whatever.
Free Style Painting You can also paints on decorative borders and words. By painting on the frame of your Halloween Cross Stitch you can personalize the gift with the person's name as well.
Spray Glitter Add a little sparkle to a dark frame for that spooky feel.
Crackle Paint This is something that when applied it forms cracking and crazing lines.
Glow In The Dark Items Here's a fun one to add a little spookiness to your Halloween decorating.
Crystals and other sorts of bling Used correctly these will add a nice sparkle and magic to the frame. The trick here is not to over-do

My name is Mona Majorowicz I am a professional artist who has been making my living selling my work for some time now. I am an animal artist, (meaning I paint critters) who works primarily in Oil Pastel or Water Soluble Pencil.
I own and operate Wild Faces Gallery with my husband Mike in a small rural town in Iowa. There we sell my original artwork and prints, as well as do quality custom framing and offer Giclee printing for other artists as well as for ourselves. I maintain a blog called Fur In The Paint, as well as write a regular column for the equestrian magazine Apples 'N Oats about painting horses.
